About Me

About my Practice

Sessions

Therapy sessions take place over a secure video platform or in my office in Manhattan. My office is located at 210 West 70th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue. If we are meeting remotely I will send you a secure Zoom link prior to our session.

I see patients Monday through Thursday during daytime and early evening hours. Appointments are scheduled by phone or email. Sessions occur weekly, or in some cases, biweekly. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please email me as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid a full fee charge.

The initial intake is 60 minutes. Subsequent individual sessions are typically 45 minutes. Family therapy sessions are 60 minutes.

Payment

Like many private practitioners in New York City, I am not in-network with any insurance plans. If you have out-of-network insurance I will provide all necessary paperwork to make the reimbursement process as simple as possible. Your coverage will depend on
  • The percent your plan covers for out of network care
  • Your annual deductible
  • The type of session and code (Intake session 90791, or Psychotherapy session 90834)
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. For more information you can visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Getting Started

We will connect by phone or email where you can tell me a little bit about yourself and ask any questions about my practice. We will discuss fees and scheduling. From there we can schedule an initial intake/assessment.

I will send you a consent form and practice policies that you can review and complete before our first session.
